Debby Hughes studied beadwork with Ann Strange owl Rabin in 1985, and fell absolutely in love with the art form. She learned the craft using Czech seed beads, but now uses Delica beads, and laser cut cylindrical beads from Japan, as her primary material. As a child, Debby grew up visiting her grandparents in Estes Park and eventually moved to Estes with her family. Later, she met her husband, Leo Weber, a master furniture maker. Debby continues to create her stand-alone beadwork pieces as well as collaborative creations with her husband's custom woodwork.
