About Us

Aspen and Evergreen Gallery is a labor of love, a place to take a deep breath and realize the wonder and beauty that surrounds us all. There are so many talented people in the world. Tamara’s passion is connecting local artists through their creations with folks visiting the gallery. Tamara and James, owners of Aspen and Evergreen, have lived in Estes Park for more than 35 years. James, a professional photographer, found the ever-changing beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park a great inspiration. From the start of their lives together, the two began working on ways to showcase James’ talents as well as the artwork of others. They started a publishing business creating books, and a calendar as well as publishing the Estes Park magazine, Estes Park Vacationland. Their first gallery opened in 1994 with a local frame shop and gallery and expanded to its current location in downtown Estes Park. Aspen and Evergreen Gallery is ever changing. We welcome you to visit us for a truly local experience!

Ole has spent most of his adult life in the visual arts. He has a degree in studio arts from C.U. Boulder and has worked as a graphic designer for more than 25 years. His graphic design business brought him to design, from creation to production, the published work of James Frank Photography for many years. In addition, Ole also designed and produced Estes Park Vacationland magazine for 12 years under the ownership of Tamara and James. He is a long-time Estes Park resident and has been instrumental in the 2013 re-opening of Aspen and Evergreen Gallery.

Back by Popular Demand  . . .  Kathy Kennedy and Beth Cooper

Kathy began working with Aspen and Evergreen in 2003. A retired teacher and business woman, Kathy brings patience, incredible multi-tasking skills, and diplomacy to our team. An avid hiker, she’s a great resource for Park info, too! We are so happy to have her back to help this summer!

Beth Cooper, newly retired from 37 years of teaching, is returning to the Aspen and Evergreen family for summer and fall.  Beth and her husband became fans of James’ photos in the early 90’s. We’ve stayed friends ever since. Beth’s humor, grace, and ability to make everyone feel comfortable, are huge assets to the gallery.

How did we get so incredibly lucky to have such amazing folks working with us? Our Artists are the best, and so is our staff!
